Next Entry-level IPad To Feature A18 Chip And Apple Intelligence

According to MacRumors, Apple is developing the successor to its entry-level iPad, which launched in March with the A16 Bionic chip. The forthcoming model will integrate the A18 chip, marking an upgrade in processing power. This chip is also slated for inclusion in the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16e models.

Details regarding the A18 chip’s integration into the next entry-level iPad emerged from code references inadvertently disclosed by Apple. This information indicates official confirmation, despite its premature release. The A18 chip will enable the next iPad to support Apple Intelligence features, which are anticipated to be a significant selling point for the device.

The next iteration of the entry-level iPad is projected for release in the spring of next year. Its design is expected to largely mirror that of its predecessor, with the primary enhancement being the updated A18 chip. The current generation of this iPad begins at a price point of $349. Pricing for the upcoming model has not been confirmed.
