WhatsApp Testing Voicemail Style Feature On Android Beta
WhatsApp Testing Voicemail Style Feature On Android Beta – Dataconomy
WhatsApp is developing a new feature resembling voicemail for its users. The function, currently in beta testing on Android, aims to streamline the process of leaving voice messages when calls are unanswered. This development surfaces alongside tests of a separate call-reminder feature.
Tecnoblog detailed the “Record voice message” button’s appearance in the latest Android beta version of WhatsApp. It appears when a call recipient does not answer. This button is positioned at the bottom of the screen, along with the existing “Call again” and “Cancel” options. This aims to provide a quicker means of voice message creation compared to repeated calls or manual navigation to the chat interface.
The feature is not yet available on iOS, and a definitive timeline for its potential public release remains unspecified.
