Google is launching Flight Deals, a new AI-powered travel search tool, in beta across the US, Canada, and India this week to assist flexible travelers in finding cost-effective flights through natural language prompts.
Flight Deals integrates directly into Google Flights, providing an alternative to traditional manual search methods. Users can articulate their travel intentions using conversational language, and the AI assistant will process these prompts to identify relevant flight options. This functionality aims to simplify the search process for individuals whose primary objective is cost savings on their upcoming journeys.
The tool operates by leveraging real-time data from Google Flights, ensuring that all presented flight information and deals from various airlines and booking operators are current. Google has indicated that this initial launch is a beta phase, and the company intends to refine the tool based on user feedback. One planned enhancement includes the addition of an option to exclude basic economy fares for users in the United States and Canada.
Access to this AI-driven deal-hunting feature is available through two methods. Users can navigate directly to the dedicated Flight Deals page, or they can select the option from the drop-down menu located in the top-left corner of the Google Flights interface.
